here are clamp-on lights and other doodads designed to let you read in the dark, but Barnes & Noble says its latest Nook ereader is the first such device to include built-in lighting technology for reading. B&N says the patent-pending GlowLight in the new Nook Simple Touch allows for a soft, adjustable glow designed to offer just enough light for reading in bed without disturbing a sleeping spouse. Actually, the GlowLight does double duty as it’s also designed to let Simple Touch users read in bright sunlight when they’re lounging on the beach or other brightly lit locations. ******** I think that if you need soft light your eyes are gonna hurt anyway, turn on a stupid lamp!( or the, more likely, overhead)
